I designed this image after doing a 'character swap' with Emily Carroll, one of my fellow Elfwood artists. She drew a version of my Pinky character and I drew her 'Askew' and her 'Neraven'.
In this large image, Neraven is haranguing the poor innocent waiter and Askew has fallen on her small bottom.
The media is water-colour paint on A1 sized water-colour paper. The background in this painting was inspired by the streets of Freemantle, Market street in particular.

I did this in 2000-2001. It was up here before but when things changed here it was considered too modern. Now things have changed again and I've reclassified it as 'Urban Fantasy', so hopefully it should be ok...

Oh it's not so hard ^_^
This was just watercolour and gauche. All you do is put a little dab of colour somewhere and then spread it with some water. It's as simple as that! If you want to mix colours, just wait for the first wash to dry and then do another one over the top in the new colour. It's fun to experiment and it's a LOT easier than people tell you."

I love the candy colours of the shopfronts and her costume on the right reminds me of licquorice allsorts, Ok I probably shouldn't go commenting when I haven't eaten but this is a vivid joyous painting.
